This week is the first week for the third quarter at Art Institute in Denver. My classes are Photo History 1, Dark Room Lab Techniques and Digital Printing Lab. I am excited for the classes this quarter, I have changed my diploma from Associates to a Bachelor’s degree in Photography. I should have taken Photo History 1 in the first quarter but oh well. As the quarters have progressed, I have moved on with my new friends from my Principles of Photography class to these few photography classes. I hope to not lose them because I enjoy being with them and learning with them.
Photo History 1, I have a feeling is going to kick my butt. We all decided that small tests every week were better than two huge tests, a mid-term and a final. There will be a lot of information coming down the pipe and I’m finally going to learn about the history of photography — how people were so clever in creating such an art.
Darkroom, I’m not so worried about since I had a crash course in it last quarter but printing, I think printing is going to be tons of fun! Printing images that are actually calibrated to the correct color and print it out and actually have it match what is on the screen. SO COOL! On that note, I took this test to see how well I see color, I did really well! I left the link at the bottom of the page so you all can take it too. Good luck everyone, until next time!
